J.L. Chave Sélection "Silène" Crozes-Hermitage '23

A Syrah from Jean-Louis Chave's semi-negociant line, intended to showcase a softer, more easily approachable side of the grape as fresh as its namesake silène (or campion) flowers. 

Sourced from granitic hillside vineyards around the villages of Larnage and Gervans, and aged for a year and change in barriques, the wine still offers enough spice and tannic structure to stand up to heartier fare like the southern French specialty cassoulet.
